The second visit in just two months time in the charismatic city of Seattle. This time was actually a short visit where the schedule was focus in a wine dinner @ Angelo's restaurant and a great tasting in the private room of Wine World Warehouse, the biggest retailer in Washington state.
Lenny Rede, operation manager in the store organized an educational with Viberti Barolos, for a small selection of connoisseurs. Although the agenda was busy & thanks to Craig Richmond, Opici manager in charge with the West coast, Claudio took the chance to pop in the Varchetta brothers restaurants.
While Roberto, own & manage the well know Mamma Melina, his brother Leo manage the great Barolo restaurant downtown. Thanks a lot to Leo, who had a tasting with Claudio and discover the new Barolo vintages of Viberti.

Today the new “Tini” recently purchased, had been filled with the first wines. The wines just moved in are
the Barolo Riserva Bricco Delle Viole vintage 2010 & 2011
the l’Inisj vintage 2010 & 2011

Thanks to the unusual mild temperature, higher than any average winter time, the winery decided to anticipated the re-planting works of the storical La Volta vineyard. The vineyards had been removed just after harvest time to allowed a big work of water drainage, made with the installation of a line of underground drain tubes and the new arrangement of the overground soil.
After the placement of the post, the vines plantation is expected by end of april.
