Vigneto San Pietro

The name derives directly from the unmistakable chapel of San Pietro, not far from the castle of La Volta and landmark of the hill overlooking the village of Barolo. Its vineyards are exposed to the south and are born on soils characterized by a mixture of calcareous and clayey. In relation to the other crus it is one of the smallest, as regards its extension, of the municipality of Barolo. An amphitheater embedded between the side facing the village of Barolo and the one facing La Morra. A tendentially cooler soil that offers unmistakable wines, austere, with a spicy and complex fragrance panorama. Wines with great aging potential. As in the case of the vineyards of La Volta and Bricco delle Viole, in particularly exceptional years, part of the grapes are used for the Barolo Riserva San Pietro.
