Located in the heart of the Verduno hills, San Lorenzo is one of the first vineyards to reach full phenolic maturity and among the first to be harvested each year. With an elevation between 200 and 260 meters above sea level and a predominantly southwestern exposure, this small 0.2-hectare plot enjoys a unique microclimate: its proximity to the Tanaro River mitigates temperature fluctuations, while its sunny position favors heat accumulation during the summer months of June, July and August.
The climatic conditions of this cru give the wine a taut, slender but harmonious structure, with a stylistic line that recalls that of Monvigliero in finesse and balance. The warm summers of recent years have allowed San Lorenzo to gain more flesh and volume, while retaining its elegant and vertical imprint.
The first harvest of this vineyard took place in 2022, and the wine will see the light of day in 2026.
